The Mayor’s Morning Briefing: Home for the Holidays

If you have been downtown the last few days, you may have noticed our DPW crews, who have been busy sprucing things up, putting up the wreaths, and checking the lights in preparation for Home for the Holidays tonight. Come down to the First Baptist Church for dinner at 5 p.m., then head across the street for the lighting of the tree on the City Hall lawn. After that, we will stroll to the YMCA for Santa’s grand appearance at about 6:30. Stick around because our local merchants will be offering holiday treats and special sales, and don’t forget to stop by the Temple Beth Shalom for latkes! The fun continues tomorrow, as the holiday trolleys run from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. The complete schedule is on the Chamber of Commerce website.
