Due to the poor weather the upcoming paving schedule has changed. The paving has been segmented to minimize disruptions to commuters, businesses, and school traffic.
Thursday, June 4: Paving of the main MBTA lot on Franklin Street. The lot will be closed from midnight tonight, June 3, to 5 a.m. on Friday, June 5.
Friday, June 5: Paving of Belmont Street and Marvin Road from Franklin Street to the end of the public parking on Marvin. Roads will be closed during paving operations.
Saturday, June 6: Paving of Franklin Street between Greenwood Street and Howie Street. Paving operations will begin at 6 a.m. in the stretch between the railroad tracks and Greenwood Street. It is anticipated that this area will be complete and open to traffic by late morning/early afternoon. Once this area is complete, the operation will move to the area between the railroad tracks and Howie Street. This area will be open to traffic by mid to late afternoon.
Franklin Street paving will take place on Saturday in an effort to limit traffic and school impacts. Businesses will be open to foot traffic throughout the day. All work is weather permitting.
