What? Melrose Junior Police Academy

Chief Mike Lyle and the Melrose Police will sponsor the second free Junior Police Academy (JPA) this summer. The JPA will consist of two separate one-week sessions. The Junior Police Academy will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at approximately 12:30 p.m. daily. A limited number of Cadets will be accepted to the weeklong event, and you must be sure you can attend during these dates before submitting an application. All Cadets accepted to the JPA will be required to be on their best behavior during the entire week. Several Melrose Police Officers and some High School Volunteers will staff the Junior Police Academy.
The JPA will feature a variety of training situations in which all Cadets will be required to participate in. The JPA will include but not be limited to Classroom Training and daily Physical Training. Applications will be available at the Melrose Police Station, Melrose Middle School and on the Melrose Police website at melrosepolice.net Space is limited so please have your applications in no later than June 20th so we can start the selection process.
