The following is a list of scheduled construction activities and traffic impacts for June 6 – June 12:
Saturday, June 6: Final paving of Franklin Street from Greenwood Street to Howie Street. Paving will begin at 6 a.m. in the block between the railroad tracks and Greenwood Street and proceed towards Howie Street. Detours and road closures can be expected throughout the day.
Tuesday, June 9 and Wednesday, June 10: Structure adjustments on Washington Street between Trenton Street and Stone Place in advance of final paving. This work will take place throughout the corridor, and traffic delays can be expected. Brief detours during off-peak traffic hours are possible depending on the location of the work, but every effort will be made to avoid detouring traffic.
Thursday, June 11: Final paving of Washington Street between Stone Place and Trenton Street and Stone Place. Detours will be in place throughout the paving. A first course of paving will also be placed on Beech Avenue between Swains Pond Avenue and Wheeler Avenue in advance of curb work and final paving.
Minor construction activities on Franklin Street (landscaping, installation of benches and trash receptacles, etc.) can be expected throughout next week.
