Melrose Common Opens with Music, Art, and Fun

What an amazing day last Saturday at the Common! Over 800 Melrose residents came out to celebrate the opening of the new playground with a great kids’ concert and several family activities throughout the morning. The Melrose Birth to Five Committee did a great job making this community event a reality.

A huge thank you to Follow Your Art, Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts, Anelise Paduch Tubinis Photography, Hula-Frog, and the Melrose YMCA for donating their time, resources, and talents to help make the Common Opening event a success!

We are in the final stages of weatherproofing the amazing piece of art the kids collaborated with Follow Your Art to make during the event. It will be on display tomorrow at DPW Day and then placed permanently at the park.
