On Friday, June 19 at 7:30 p.m., the First Congregational Church at 121 W. Foster Street will be hosting the Back Bay Ringers’ spring concert, Childhood Memories. Back Bay Ringers (BBR) is an advanced, auditioned community handbell ensemble. Under the direction of Griff Gall, BBR has a reputation for musical excellence, regularly performing at Boston-area landmarks such as Faneuil Hall, Symphony Hall, and the Prudential Center. BBR has also performed in festivities associated with the Boston Marathon and as part of the Mayor’s Holiday Spectacular.
This spring’s program is designed to be fun for the young and the young-at-heart. You’ll be tapping your foot to “A Spoonful of Sugar,” learning to sing with “Do Re Mi,” and having flashbacks to your piano lessons with “The Swan.” Bring your family and enjoy music that everyone will appreciate.
All proceeds from the concert will be donated by First Congregational Church to Bread of Life, an organization that works to feed the hungry in communities north of Boston. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Tickets are available for purchase online and will be available at the door. For more information, please visit www.backbayringers.org.
This concert is funded in part by a grant from the Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts.
Come hear good music for a good cause!
