Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors and are available at the door and online at https://melrosedrama.wordpress.com/. “Elf The Musical Jr.” is based on the beloved 2003 holiday film, “Elf” with songs by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (Disney’s Aladdin and The Wedding Singer) and a book by Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers and Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone.) Melrose Drama is excited to be one of the first programs in the country to produce this musical!

“Elf the Musical Jr.” tells the hilarious “fish-out-of-water” story of Buddy the Elf and his quest to find his true self. Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts on Christmas Eve and is transported back to the North Pole. Adopted by his elf family, the would-be elf is raised unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his stepbrother doesn’t believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York experience the true meaning of Christmas.

Appropriate for all ages, this modern day holiday classic is brought to you by the same team that brought you prior Melrose Drama classics “Beauty and the Beast” and “Mulan;” Director Adam Schuler, Musical Director Kristen McEntee, Technical Direction David McCall and Choreographer Becca Flint. Come and embrace your inner elf and be filled with holiday cheer!!
