The Sally Frank Farmers Market starts up again this week on Thursday, June 9, at Bowden Park at the corner of West Emerson and Vinton streets. This year’s market has new hours: 3-7 p.m. Here’s what to expect:
Farm and Food Vendors every week: Bagel Land of Winchester, Deano’s Pasta, Dick’s Market Garden, Foxboro Cheese, Laszlo Family Farm, Popover Lady, Pour Man’s Coffee, Roasted Granola, Roberto’s Seafood, Samira’s, Shady Pine Farm, and the Soup Guy
Farm and Food Vendors this week: Ackermann Maple Farm, Bondat Foods, Jaju Pierogi,
Artists: Artglo Lighting, Glass Monkey Arts, and our own Mary Ellen Crafts
Local Business of the Week: Melrose Cooperative Bank, who will be giving away insulated totes
Nonprofit of the Week: Melrose Family YMCA, who prides themselves on being able to provide financial assistance for families and member of the community and never turning anyone away for the inability to pay.
Business Neighbor: Sit N Knit will be at the market this week They will be bringing grab bags of yarn, notions, patterns, & other yarns.
This week is Bike Day, a monthly event where you can have your bike checked by the Melrose Pedestrian & Bicycle Advisory Committee and learn about upcoming events.
Music by Julie Dougherty: A special treat, playing guitar, and performing folk music, playing original and cover music.
Planted vegetable seedlings by Dick’s Market Garden that you can plant in your own garden, including zucchini & summer squash, some eggplant, broccoli, tomatoes, pepper, cucumbers, lettuce, flowers & herbs.
