On June 10-11, the Roosevelt School community came together for a fantastic display of young talent in this year’s production of Annie, Jr.! With support from the Roosevelt School PTO, the Melrose Cultural Council and many parent-volunteers, 60 students in grades 3-5 performed or worked in the crew. The group was supported by 12 students from the MVMMS and Melrose High School, who assisted with choreography and rehearsals. And the entire effort was directed by Roosevelt School parents Aimee Galego, Tami White and Kris Rodolico.
The young cast and crew worked together every Friday afternoon from January through June! The end result was a terrific show with three sold-out performances of over 200 seats each. In addition to showcasing the acting, singing and dancing skills of so many students, the performances brought in over $4,000 to benefit the Roosevelt School PTO.
Kudos to all!
