It was a pleasure to join members of Melrose’s Muslim community, the Human Rights Commission, Alderman Monica Medeiros, Alderman Jen Lemmerman, School Committee member Liz DeSelm, and Rep. Paul Brodeur for a community Iftar dinner on Friday night. We are in the month of Ramadan, when Muslims fast from sunrise to sundown, and an Iftar dinner is the traditional breaking of the fast. It was a wonderful event that brought people from all areas of our community together, and I was happy to be a part of it. Thank you to all those who worked so hard to organize it.
First Melrose Community Iftar Dinner a Success!
