Do you have a child in Melrose under the age of 6 and want to get involved in the community? The Melrose Birth to Five Advisory Committee is currently looking for additional committee members.
The Melrose Birth to Five advisory committee was formed in 2013 to serve as a resource for parents and caregivers of children under the age of six. In addition to providing residents with updated information about ongoing events for young children, the group has created a Kindergarten Basics program for parents and sponsored numerous community events, such as the New and Expectant Parent Expo in March, the opening of the Melrose Common Playground, Melrose Kids Club, family concerts at Memorial Hall and throughout the city, and the Community Swap Day in October.
If you are interested in learning more, please email Mike Lindstrom in the Mayor’s Office at email@example.com. If you would like to attend the next advisory group meeting, it will be held on Monday, September 19th in the basement conference room of the Melrose Public Library from 7pm-8pm.
