There are many ways to compete, from athletics to drama to academics, and one group of Melrose middle schoolers showed off their math skills on Saturday, February 4, at the MathCounts Metro Chapter Competition. The Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School hosted the competition, which drew 230 students from around the area, for the sixth year in a row. The team was capably coached by Ms. Kasey Fritz, and the students competed in three rounds of written tests and a final, live, “speed round.” It’s great to see our students challenging themselves and others in this way. Congratulations to our team!
