The Melrose Chamber of Commerce has joined together with the Reading-North Reading, Stoneham and Wakefield Lynnfield Chambers to sponsor Local Eats Week to encourage diners to visit and our local restaurants and businesses in six member communities.
During Local Eats Week Melrose food establishments are showcasing special menus and offerings, while also introducing new culinary choices at prices that will attract existing and new customers who wish to explore the local dining scene. “Local Eats Week is a true celebration of food not only in Melrose, but in our neighboring communities. It’s also a way to encourage residents to try new places and patronize the many restaurants and businesses that give back to the community throughout the year.” said Lauren Grymek, Executive Director of the Melrose Chamber of Commerce.
This year’s event also encourages participation from non-food businesses through cross promotions and specials at area merchant businesses. Diners will receive shopping discounts and specials when they present a receipt from one of the Local Eats Week participating restaurants.
A list of participating restaurants, merchants and their promotions can be found on the Melrose Chamber website, http://www.melrosechamber.org/local-eats-week/ as well as on the Facebook page @LocalEatsWeek. Diners are encouraged to check back regularly for details. Or, contact the Melrose Chamber at firstname.lastname@example.org or 781-665-3033 with any questions or for additional information.
