Donate a Toy to an Autistic Child This Month

Melrose residents Michael, Chandra and Jonathan Miller are collecting toys throughout March to be given to autistic children during the month of April as part of autism awareness month. If anyone would like to donate a new, unopened toy they would greatly appreciate it and I’m sure the kids would as well. The Melrose Police Department and Cloud Nine Candy and Ice Cream have been kind enough to let them use their locations as a place where residents can drop off the Toys. They also utilize a wish list on Amazon where anyone can order a toy. If you elect to use the wish list it will automatically be sent to their PO Box at the Melrose post office which is:

Toys AUcross America
PO Box 761243
Melrose, Ma 02176

There really is no specific toy, age or gender as they support children from age 2-20, boys and girls and all the kids have different likes. When they make the wish list they go through their Amazon account and add all the toys they have sent throughout the previous year. If you’d like to get an idea of the types of toys you can look at the list. Thank you for any consideration.
