Melrose Symphony Closes Out 99th Season with a Pops Grand Finale

Join the Melrose Symphony for a Season Grand Finale featuring classics from the big screen, Broadway, and more! The concert takes places on Saturday, May 6, 2017, 8 pm in Melrose’s historic Memorial Hall.

You’ll hear two Western-inspired favorites: Elmer Bernstein’s “The Magnificent Seven” and John Williams’ “Cowboys Overture.” Other selections include music from “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” Leroy Anderson’s comical “Typewriter,” and more.

Acclaimed pianist Jun Toguchi joins the MSO to perform Gershwin’s jazz-inspired “Variations on I’ve Got Rhythm.” Toguchi performs throughout the US and Japan including concerts in New York’s Carnegie Hall.
