For the third consecutive year, Melrose Youth Soccer will team up with the TOPSoccer program to host a six-week soccer season for children with physical and/or cognitive challenges. TOPSoccer is a community-based training and team placement program committed to helping young athletes with disabilities learn the game of soccer in an atmosphere that is both nurturing and exciting with one-on-one support. The Melrose program, under the support from Melrose Youth Soccer Board Members and organized by students from Melrose High School and Malden Catholic, will begin the season Sunday, September 24 and continue the following five Sundays into October (October 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29). Sessions will be dedicated to hosting participants between the ages of 5 and 17 from 11:30-12:30 at the Franklin Field (Greenleaf Place, Melrose). Registration for both players and volunteers is available on the Melrose Youth Soccer website (www.melroseyouthsoccer.net – Follow the Registration links). If you would like your son or daughter to participate, or have any questions, please contact Bob Lynch-Galvin (email@example.com) or Mark Donahue (firstname.lastname@example.org ).
